Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is assessment and treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of your mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapy helps through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness.
Pelvic floor physiotherapy (PFPT) is a specialized branch of physiotherapy involving internal and external assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor muscles.

Alison (She/Her/Hers) completed her Honour’s Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University and her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto.

Alison is passionate about pelvic health and helping women at any stage of life engage with and connect to their pelvic floor to empower them to live a life that they want to live without fear of pelvic floor dysfunction. She has completed several courses in pelvic health, acupuncture, manual therapy and McKenzie MDT, all of which help to enhance her practice.

Alison is also a firm believer in holistic care and the benefits of involving the health care team in each patient’s recovery.

When Alison isn’t working, she enjoys travelling, exercising, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
